Ishikawa falters, Takayama clinches Token Cup

Ryo Ishikawa of Japan looks on during a practice round prior to the 2011 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club on April 4, 2011 in Augusta, Georgia.

Ryo Ishikawa has pledged to donate all of his winnings to the victims of Japan's deadly earthquakes over the past month.

On Sunday, he was kicking himself for not picking up a little extra cash after a 1-over 72 in the final round of the Token Homemate Cup in Japan, left him in third place and handed Tadahiro Takayama his fourth Japan Golf Tour Organization title.

"I’m disappointed in myself for shooting over par in the final round," Ishikawa said. "Things went wrong with my tee shot. My swing timing was off a bit. I know I have to make adjustments for next week’s tournament."

Ishikawa had big galleries following him at the Token Tado Country Club Nagoya on Sunday, but even the crowd support didn't keep him from three consecutive bogeys from Nos. 2-4. He found water twice during that run.

Meanwhile, Takayama cruised through the final round, going out in an even-par 35. He was 1 under on the back to finish two strokes ahead of Shingo Katayama.

Takayama, 33, also won the 2005 Token Homemate Cup.

Australian Brendan Jones finished T-4 with Nobuhiro Masuda, while Korean Kyung-tae Kim, the JGTO money-list winner in 2010, tied for sixth at 3 under. Japanese standouts Toru Taniguchi and Yuta Ikeda were T-8 at 2 under.
