Lehman, Pavin team up at Legends of Golf
SAVANNAH, Ga. – The good news for Tom Lehman two years ago here is that he and partner Bernhard Langer won the Liberty of Mutual Legends of Golf. The bad news is their attempted chest-bump celebration on the last green left could be characterized as uncoordinated and awkward.
Lehman returns this year with fellow former Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin as his partner because Langer is out after having undergone surgery a month ago to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb.
So how did Lehman decide to pair with Pavin?
“I thought I would get a partner who knows how to do a chest bump, that’s the biggest issue right there,” Lehman said. “We’ve been practicing, we’ve been working on it. I just didn’t want to hurt Corey.”
