No. 18, Par 4, 464 yards: Woods misses the fairway at the finishing hole, leaving himself five feet into the rough, but settles into a deep lie. Woods has 163 yards to the pin. His 313 yard tee shot is well behind the longest of the day – Keegan Bradley's 343-yard poke.

Tiger hacks it out of the thick rough and misses the green short and right. A straightforward chip shot leaves Tiger 3 feet away from a 2-under 68.

Like he has all day, Tiger smoothly rolls in the par putt and closes out a round of 2 under.

FINAL: 2-under 68

No. 17, Par 4, 400 yards: Woods hits the center of the 17th fairway and leaves 155 yards to the hole. Another confident swing leaves him in the center of the green, 21 feet to the pin. With good pace, Woods leaves his birdie attempt just a few inches high and taps in for par.

Through No. 17: 2 under

No. 16, Par 5, 667 yards: Can't imagine Woods is thinking too much about the 16th being the Kodak Challenge hole today. . .

Woods just made the 667-yard even longer with a 319-yard ugly miss to the right.

Woods unleashes a wild swing with a fairway metal and advances his ball 279 yards to the middle of the fairway to bring birdie back into play.

Tiger hits to 31 feet, 4 inches and from the middle of the fairway from 88 yards and pours in the birdie putt. Looks like Tiger has been spending some time with the putter in his absence from the Tour.

Through No. 16: 2 under

• • •

No. 15, Par 3, 221 yards: On the final par 3 of the day, Woods gets over the center tier and leaves his tee shot 31 feet left of the flagstick.

Woods leaves his birdie try 2 feet short and rolls in another rudimentary par.

Through No. 15: 1 under

• • •

No. 14, Par 4, 467 yards: Tiger hits his fourth fairway of the day with a 304-yard tee ball. He leaves himself 161 to the hole and flies his approach a bit long into the back bunker, where he won't have much green to work with.

Woods nearly hits the perfect bunker shot, but comes up a few inches short, as his ball hangs up in the fringe. May be looking at the first bogey of the day. . .

The first hiccup comes at the 14th after Tiger leaves his 12-foot par attempt an inch high.

Through No. 14: 1 under

• • •

No. 13, Par 4, 471 yards: Woods finds himself in the left rough after a 316-yard tee ball.

His second shot, from 167, comes out of a thick lie and one-hops into the back fringe. Woods hits a chip shot with good speed control and leaves himself 3 feet for another par.

Woods avoids another bogey and remains at 2 under, rolling in the 3-foot par putt with a confident stroke.

Through No. 13: 2 under

• • •

No. 12, Par 3, 180 yards: Tiger hits his tee ball at the shortest par 3 on the course to the back-center of the green, leaving about 25 feet to the pin.

Woods leaves his birdie attempt about 2 feet short and rolls in his 10th par of the day. On to the 13th. . .

Through No. 12: 2 under

• • •

No. 11, Par 4, 418 yards: Woods follows his first birdie with his first one-handed swing of the day. However, the ball hits the center of the fairway and leaves him 140 yards to the hole.

Woods hits another tidy, back-spinning wedge to about 8 feet right of the hole.

All pars on the front, all birdies on the back (so far). Woods rolls in the 8-footer to move inside the top 20.

Through No. 11: 2 under

• • •

No. 10, Par 4, 410 yards: Tiger is first to play after leaving his tee shot in the first-cut on the right side of the fairway. With 136 yards to the pin, Woods hits his approach to the back of the green and spins it back to 5 feet left of the pin. He has a good look to try to break this streak of pars.

After Clarke makes a bit of a mess of the 10th, Woods calmly rolls in his first birdie since the Masters.

Through No. 10: 1 under

• • •

No. 9, Par 4, 494 yards: Woods misses another fairway – he's only hit two on the day. After a big bounce off the cart path, Woods has 177 yards to the pin and needs to hit a big hook around a large tree.

Woods leaves himself a difficult up-and-down from behind the left-hand greenside bunker. The pin is also tucked in the back-left position, leaving little green to work with.

Tiger catches it clean out of the rough, but carries his flop shot too far and leaves about 20 feet to save par.

Another par. Woods passes his most difficult test of the day with a 19-foot par save and gives his first fist pump of the day.

At the turn: Even-par 35

• • •

Hole 8, Par 4, 482 yards: Woods misses his fourth fairway of the day, nearly taking out some personnel in the left rough. After a 324-yard poke, Woods has 158 to the hole. His playing partner, Darren Clarke, just holed out from 184 yards for eagle. He moves to 1 over on the day.

Tiger's second shot hits hard on the bank left of the green and settles into the center of the greenside bunker.

Woods mis-hits his bunker shot, which barely makes it onto the green – the plus is that without the normal spin, it rolls out and leaves him about 6 feet between him and another par.

Woods sinks the putt and gives a smile – partially in recognition of Clarke's eagle, partially because he got away with one at the eighth.

Through No. 8: E

• • •

Hole 7, Par 3, 217 yards: Despite another good-looking swing, Woods leaves his approach at the par-3 seventh just on the back-right fringe, about 25 feet from the hole. Masters champ Charl Schwartzel has hit it the closest at the seventh – 2 feet.

Another par – Tiger misses his birdie attempt just high and rolls in his par.

Hole 4, Par 4, 471 yards: Woods finds another fairway, clinging to the left side of the lengthy par 4. At 345 yards, Woods' is the longest drive at the fourth, topping Alvaro Quiros' 318-yard tee ball.

With probably the best swing of the day, Woods leaves his 152-yard approach pin-high, 11 feet left of the stick.

Tiger plays a bit too much left in the left-to-right breaking putt and leaves his birdie attempt high. Woods appears to once again have his faithful Scotty Cameron putter in the bag, which he uses to tap in for his fourth par of the day.

Through No. 4: E

Hole 3, Par 4, 442 yards: Tiger finds his first fairway of the day, a 300-yard tee-ball that lands even with the dog-leg right. Jhonattan Vegas has the longest drive of the day at the third at 329 yards. Woods leaves himself the same yardage he had at No. 2 – 145 yards.

Tiger claims "mud ball" on his approach, which lands long and right of the green.

The ensuing chip shot comes hot out of the rough and leaves Woods about 17 feet for his par.
