Fantasy Tip Sheet: 93rd PGA Championship

Jason Day

Jason Day

Defending champion Martin Kaymer doesn't seem to be a favorite among our fantasy experts, but another player from overseas is feeling the love.

Rank Winner Wild Card Last Week
Babineau Jason Day

He's in great form, he has shown he can contend at majors and he's young and fit. Mix those ingredients, add in a strong putting week, and he's your champion.

Alvaro Quiros

Atlanta Athletic Club is monster-long, and if he drives the ball well, Quiros will have a big advantage. Seems quite comfortable on the world stage.

Winner: Not available; wild card: Not avaiable

Rude Lee Westwood

Nobody wants a major more than the world No. 2. Coming off closing 65 and T-9 at WGC Bridgestone. Got solid advice last week from Bob Rotella and Dave Stockton.

Lucas Glover

Contended at British Open. Knows what it takes to win a major. Playing in his native South. Has won this year.

Winner: Dustin Johnson (T-48); wild card: Anders Hansen (T-29)

McCabe Rory McIlroy

Picked him last week at Bridgestone and it took him a while, but he finally showed some form. Atlanta AC is made for a guy who can hit high, long, and straight - like McIlroy. Plus, he won't have to deal with the cold, windy, rain that infuriated him at the Open Championship.

Jason Dufner

Plenty to like about his game and you have to think that being an Alabama kid and all, he's used to hot, sticky weather.

Winner: Rory McIlroy (T-6); wild card: Jeff Overton (T-68).

Ringler Jason Day

We might as well stick with the trend of not who you expected to win and go with Day. Sure, Day has been playing great golf and is certainly not an underdog, but do you really expect him to win? Doubt it, that's why I am picking him this week in Atlanta.

Ricky Barnes

He has made it a bit of a habit to be near the lead on the weekend in big events. Why not again this week.

Winner: Steve Stricker (14); wild card: Jeff Overton (T-68).

Martin Jason Day

He's been runner-up at two majors this season. Coming off a good week at the WGC-Bridgestone, I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks through this week for his first major.

Keegan Bradley

Played well at the Bridgestone until Sunday's back-nine struggles. Hits it long, which is necessary at Atlanta Athletic Club.

Winner: Bo Van Pelt (T-23); wild card: Peter Hanson (T-21).
