LSU's Peterson throws out first pitch in Texas
LSU's John Peterson, the 2011 NCAA individual champion, threw out the first pitch at a Texas Rangers-Seattle Mariners game.
Tuesday night NCAA champion John Peterson of LSU threw out the first pitch at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas when the Texas Rangers played host to the Seattle Mariners.
According to Peterson's Twitter account, it does not seem he found the strike zone.
"First pitch was a blast....warmed up with Michael young and Ian Kinsler...then got to the mound and choked real hard....#wildpitch".
Peterson, who was a senior last year, posted rounds of 74-65-72 at the NCAA Championship at Karsten Creek Golf Course to finish at 5-under-par and one shot clear of college golf's unanimous player of the year choice Patrick Cantlay of UCLA. He has continued to play well this summer, finishing in a tie for second place at the Nationwide Tour's Children's Hospital Invitational.
