Ramsey (No. 4, 2013) eyes Clemson

Ashlan Ramsey, No. 4 in the Class of 2013, has started to take unofficial visits.

One of those visits has been to Clemson, which announced it would be starting a women’s program in the fall of 2013.

“I am still undecided where I would like to go to college,” said Ramsey, of Milledgeville, Ga. “I would like to take a few more visits and talk to some of the coaches that have been watching me this year.”

Ramsey, No. 13 overall in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings, has made unofficial visits to Clemson, Texas A&M, Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arizona and Tulane.

It could be possible that Ramsey and her sister, Taylor (ranked No. 56 in 2012 class), could be part of the first Clemson class. Taylor would simply have to sit out one year.

Ramsey, who will be a junior at the John Milledge Academy, advanced to the Round of 16 at the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship in July and placed third at the AJGA Thunderbird International Junior in May.
