MARANA, Ariz. — Martin Kaymer and Luke Donald are awaiting the start of the final of the Match Play Championship with snow covering the fairways.

A late winter storm Sunday morning dropped nearly an inch of snow on The Ritz-Carlton Club on Dove Mountain. Tournament officials are hoping the sun would break through and melt the snow before the championship match at 12:25 p.m. MST.

Donald posted a photo on Twitter of the snow, adding, "Check out the snow, pre round snow ball fight to see who has the honor off the first??"

The semifinals were moved from Sunday morning to Saturday afternoon because of the forecast. Had the schedule not been changed, the tournament could not have finished Sunday.
