PGA Tour, Hawaii extend deal through 2014
The 2011 PGA Tour season kicks off at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions on the Plantation Course at Kapalua in Hawaii.
HONOLULU – The PGA Tour and the Hawaii Tourism Authority have extended their partnership through 2014.
The four-year extension of the marketing partnership was announced Monday.
Tom Wade, the PGA Tour’s chief marketing officer, says the tour is delighted to continue the partnership, which dates back to 2001, and help highlight Hawaii as golfer’s paradise.
The PGA Tour opens its season in Hawaii with the winners-only Hyundai Tournament of Champions, which begins Thursday on Maui, followed by the full-field Sony Open in Honolulu.
