91 chase OneAsia membership at Q-School final
HAIKOU, China – Ten.
That's how many OneAsia Tour cards are on offer this week at Sandbelt Trails of Mission Hills Haikou in the final stage of the tour’s inaugural qualifying school.
Starting Jan. 11, 91 professionals and amateurs from 13 countries will vie for 10 spots to play the Asia-Pacific region tour.
The four-day tournament winner will play for guaranteed entry into every OneAsia event of the 2011 season, including co-sanctioned or limited-field events.
Additionally, players ranked 2 through 10 will receive entry into all OneAsia full-field events. Players ranked 11 through 40 also will be eligible for some OneAsia events, provided that they meet other qualifications.
OneAsia will stage at least 13 events this year; further dates are in the works.
Among the 91 players, 26 come to Haikou after graduating from the PGA Tour of Australasia's Qualifying School last month for a chance to secure rights on both tours.
