Player of the Week: Emma Talley
Emma Talley, of Princeton, Ky., shot even-par 216 (72-72-72) at Westhaven Golf Course in Franklin, Tenn., to win the AJGA’s Franklin Junior by three shots.
The victory was the third consecutive AJGA title Talley, 17, has claimed this year, which ties the girls’ record for consecutive AJGA victories. It’s the ninth of her career. Talley also holds the records for largest margin of victory in a girls’ AJGA event after shooting 15-under 198 at last year’s Huntsville Junior to win by 22 shots. She has verbally committed to Alabama for the fall of 2012.
