GLADSTONE, N.J. – LPGA Tour rookie Belén Mozo (be-LEHN’ moh-THOH’) of Spain has been given a sponsor’s exemption for the Sybase Match Play Championship in mid May.

The four-time All-American at Southern California made her professional debut at the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open. She needed an exemption to play in the match play event at Hamilton Farm Golf Club because it is limited to the top 64 players in the world.

Tournament executive director Andy Bush says Mozo has established herself as an international role-model in the world of golf and professional sports by finishing her college studies and vying for full-time status on both the LPGA and Ladies European Tours.

The Sybase Match Play Championship is allowed two sponsor’s exemptions which are used at the discretion of tournament management and corporate partners. The second exemption will be announced at a later date.
