Wednesday, March 23, 2011
Ben Reeves has given a verbal commitment to play for the University of Tennessee at Martin. Reeves is from Knoxville, Tenn.
The 17-year-old also made unofficial visits to Vanderbilt, Middle Tennessee State, Belmont, Tennessee Tech, Furman, Carson Newman and Appalachian State before deciding on UT-Martin.
“Playing Division I college golf has been a huge goal of mine since I began playing competitive junior golf, and I am excited about becoming a Skyhawk,” he said. “Athletically and academically, UT-Martin had everything I was looking for, and I feel really blessed to accept an offer from the program that was No. 1 on my list.”
Reeves finished T-4 at the AJGA Preseason Junior at Chateau Elan in 2010, and also made two other AJGA starts that year.
