Player of the Week: Michael Whitehead, Rice
Whitehead, a senior at Rice, won his first college tournament after posting a final-round 10-under 62. Whitehead finished the event with a 19-under 197 total to win by two strokes. Whitehead previously had finished runner-up three times this season. His final-round 62 sets a new 18-hole Rice record, and also is now the course record at Laredo (Texas) Country Club.
