Ahn captures JLPGA's World Ladies title; Pressel is 6th
Korean Sun-ju Ahn closed with a 3-under 69 to clear the field by three shots to win the JLPGA's World Ladies Championship in Ibaraki, Japan.
Ahn finished the round with three birdies over the final five holes to win the tour's first "major" of the year.
The title was Ahn's fifth career victory on the JLPGA Tour, but her most significant one.
Defending champion and American star Morgan Pressel finished in sixth after a closing 69, including birdies on four of her final five holes.
Fellow LPGA players Na Yeon Choi (T-39) and Ai Miyazato (T-49) struggled mightily.
Japan's Miki Saiki and Chinese Taipei's Teresa Lu finished T-2.
