Lovemark to miss Players; medical extension looms
Jamie Lovemark, the 2010 Nationwide Tour Player of the Year, will not play this week’s Players Championship as he continues to sit out with what’s believed to be a torn disk in his back. Lovemark “will likely be out a few months,” according to Kevin Lynch, IMG Golf’s vice president.
Lovemark might return for “rehab starts” on the Nationwide Tour in the fall but likely will apply for a major medical extension, Lynch said. Lovemark last played at the Shell Houston Open, withdrawing after a first-round 80.
