Nicole Noelle Smith
Nicole Noelle Smith is an up-and-coming player on the LPGA Futures Tour. Nicole will be bringing you her story in 2011 through her own, exclusive blog on Golfweek.com
During the month of May, the Futures Tour does not have a lot going on and I have decided to make it a month of getting together with my friends and family to make the most of the time I have with them. At the end of May I am leaving for five weeks on Tour, then I will be home for a week, and gone for another seven weeks on the road playing golf.
I am going to be taking the rest of the month off of writing and spend a ton of time working on my game. Sometimes personal time and time off is the best thing. I took some serious R&R in the past couple of weeks and it was the best thing ever! A couple of weekends ago, I went to the beach, surprised one of my best friends with a great birthday dinner in Costa Mesa, and spent Mother’s Day with my mom, my best friend and her mom. It was the first time in five years I was able to have a weekend like this. Incredible right?! For such an amazing career path sometimes there are things that you have to give up.
Enjoy your month and I will talk to you all at the beginning of June!!
