Lim, USC win at CordeValle; Oregon ends streak

Led by medalist Steve Lim, USC claimed a four-shot victory over UCLA at the Gifford Collegiate at CordeValle. The win was the first of the year for the Trojans, which finished at 8-under 1,057.

Lim finished one shot ahead of Patrick Cantlay at 11 under to win his first collegiate win. Also finishing in the top 15 for the Trojans was Jeffery Kang (sixth; 213) and freshman Anthony Paolucci (T-13; 216).

Cantlay opened with an 8-under 63 at CordeValle, where he was the defending champion. Pontus Widegren (T-7; 214) and Pedro Figueiredo (T-10; 215) also finished in the top 10 for the Bruins.

After winning its first three tournaments of the year, Oregon finished third at 20 over, while Virginia, led by freshman Denny McCarthy, finished fourth. Eugene Wong led Oregon once again, finishing third, while Walker Cupper Chris Williams led Washington (fifth), finishing fourth at 3-under 210.
