Wilson Golf renews endorsement deal with Harrington
Thursday, November 3, 2011
Wilson Golf has re-signed longtime tour staff member Padraig Harrington, keeping its most marketable endorser in the fold.
Though the three-time major champion had a winless year, finishing the PGA Tour season ranked 78th in the world, he remains a household name among avid golfers who associate him with the Wilson brand.
Harrington, who completed his 16th season as a European Tour member and his sixth season as a PGA Tour member, has been with Wilson since 1998. The Irishman turned professional in 1995 and owns more than 20 worldwide wins. Harrington won the Open Championship in 2007 and 2008, and captured the PGA Championship in 2008.
In addition to Harrington, the Wilson Staff Advisory team includes Ricky Barnes and Kevin Streelman. All three provide feedback to Wilson engineers and designers during the company’s product-development process.
Said Tim Clarke, Wilson Golf’s general manager: “Harrington has been the face of Wilson Golf for many years during his successful career, and we hope to see him in the winner’s circle in 2012.”
