Woods adds 2-iron at Presidents Cup
At the Australian Open, played the week before the Presidents Cup, Tiger Woods carried a VR Pro Limited Edition 5-wood (19 degree). Because of windy, firm conditions at Royal Melbourne, he removed the 5-wood and added a 2-iron.

By the numbers
Scrutinizing PGA Tour equipment usage for all of 2011, Titleist was No. 1 in golf balls, irons, wedges and putters.
TaylorMade was first in drivers and fairway woods, with Titleist second in both categories.
Adams won the hybrid category, edging runner-up TaylorMade and third-place Titleist.
Titleist continued its golf-ball dominance by accounting for 66 percent of the balls played. In wedges, Titleist Vokey Design had more than twice the usage of any other brand.
TaylorMade’s white-headed R11 and Burner metalwood models were a huge hit on the PGA Tour, just as they were in the consumer marketplace. Look for TaylorMade to introduce two additional white-headed models for ’12.
