The Big Break has been airing for about five weeks now, and it amazes me what people have to say! I really do try to stay away from the blog posts and reading the Facebook page, but I will admit I look at what people are saying from time to time when people tell me, “Oh my gosh, did you see what that person said?” Because I constantly am asked how I feel about what all these people have to say, here is my answer to that question:

Sometimes I see where people are coming from with their statements because of the way the show is edited, but sometimes I feel like people are coming from left field with their comments! Where did you get that impression of me, and why do you think I am such a bad person? I feel the same about the bad things that are being said about my castmates, where are you coming from with this? Everyone is portrayed a certain way on the show, and I can say without a doubt that Bennett is an amazing person and Mark is hilarious! They both had me laughing so hard I was crying at points, but you’ll never see that on the show. Andy has offered his help and has been there to chat about golf when it isn’t going well for me. Julien, Joe and Matt are just stand-up, amazing guys. All the girls have made it a point to get together when we are traveling on the road for tour, but you won’t see any of that either.

People truly have strong feelings about people on the show and they express them with no qualms from the safety of their own homes, so here is what I have to say to answer the above question: All 12 of us are friends. We all, for the most part, have kept in touch with each other. We made a pact at the end of the show saying, “We all know what really happened here. Things were said and we are all going to see! But know that we all share a bond together that no one is ever going to be able to understand.” As I’ve said before, the people that talked badly about each other on the show are the same people that gave hugs and picked each other up after each elimination challenge. Those are my friends. Love ’em or hate ’em, we all care about each other in the end. We all had an amazing experience and feel so lucky to have gotten to know each other. When all is said and done, it’s a television show for your viewing entertainment and you only get an edited version of who we really are.
