The Texas women’s team fought off a final-round charge from Auburn (296-302-289–887) to win the Texas A&M “Mo”Morial by two shots Sept. 13 at The Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, giving the Longhorns their second victory in their past three events dating to last spring’s Big 12 Championship.

The Longhorns, who had three of the top four individual finishers, shot a final-round 296 and finished at 21-over 885. Auburn made up seven strokes on Texas in the final round with a 1-over 289, but fell just shy. Kentucky was a distant third at 914.

Auburn’s Carlie Yadloczky won the individual title at 3-under 213, one shot in front of Texas’ Desiree Dubreuil, who was playing as an individual. The Longhorns’ Nicole Vandermade (216) and Haley Stephens (218) finished third and fourth, respectively.
