DUNSANY, Ireland – If Rosie Jones let yours truly suit up for a day, I’d ask to play with Paula Creamer. Why? Just look at her record.

Creamer is America’s sweetheart; her Cup overflows with heroic feats. While she and Kerr only managed a half point against Azahara Munoz of Catriona Matthew in Saturday morning foursomes, there’s still a “0” in the loss column.

“A half is a half,” Creamer said. “It’s not a loss.”

Creamer’s 71.85 winning percentage coming into Ireland was the highest in U.S. team history among members with two or more appearances. This week she’s 2-0-1.

In a wise move, Jones split the sentimental pairing of Inkster and Creamer. They’ve paired together six times in the past. Creamer’s only losses came while paired with Inkster and the Hall of Famer simply didn’t have the form this year to warrant the partnership. With so many U.S. players struggling in recent weeks, Jones couldn’t afford to weaken Creamer’s chances of earning points. Inkster paired with Brittany Lang twice this week and lost both matches.

Creamer at the Solheim Cup:

• Perhaps most impressive is Creamer’s singles record: 3-0-0. As a rookie, Creamer trounced Laura Davies, 7 and 5. She owns the record for most holes won in a singles competition, taking eight off Davies in ’05 with seven birdies. Last year she took down Europe’s best, Suzann Pettersen, 3 and 2.

• Creamer went 3-1-1 as a rookie at Crooked Stick and won captain Nancy Lopez’s heart. Lopez has since followed Creamer whenever she can. She was the youngest player to compete for the U.S. at 19 years, 1 month and 4 days.

• Her overall doubles record is now 7-2-5.

• Creamer will pair with Brittany Lincicome this afternoon, taking on Maria Hjorth and Azahara Munoz in the four-ball session. Creamer and Lincicome are 1-0-1 as partners.
