Middle Tennessee State wins Mason Rudolph

Behind medalist Hunter Green, the Middle Tennessee State men held off Mississippi by one stroke to win the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.

The Blue Raiders, tied with the Rebels heading into Sunday, fired a 5-under 279 for a three-day total of 844. Georgia Southern finished third at 848, while Oklahoma was fourth at 851.

Memphis rounded out the top five, shooting 8 under on the final day for a tournament total of 856.

Green closed with a 4-under 67 to finish at 8 under, beating Davidson's John Skeadas by two shots.

Mississippi's Billy Brozovich and Joe David tied for third at 5 under, while Lewis Gruber of Georgia Southern finished fifth at 4 under.
