Kerr battles wrist injury that forced Solheim WD
Friday, September 30, 2011
Cristie Kerr’s right arm has been in a splint since Sunday morning of the Solheim Cup. A tearful Kerr withdrew from the event with extensor wrist tendonitis, conceding her singles point to Karen Stupples.
Kerr’s husband/agent Erik Stevens said the swelling has gone down 50 percent but the wrist is still bruised and painful.
Kerr planned to play in Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan on the LPGA’s fall Asian swing. She will pick up a club for the first time on Tuesday and make a decision.
The LPGA HanaBank Championship is Oct. 7-9.
