Las Vegas makes Tiger the favorite at Masters

Tiger Woods reacts after an eagle putt on the eighth hole during the final round of the Masters golf tournament Sunday, April 10, 2011, in Augusta, Ga.

The final odds came out of Las Vegas last night and Tiger Woods at 9-2 is a slight favorite over Rory McIlroy at 5-1 to win the 2012 Masters.

Since mid-August when McIlroy was a 10-1 favorite with Woods and Phil Mickelson at 12-1, the odds have barely moved over the preceding seven months with McIlroy or Woods as the favorite.

Mickelson is still at 10-1 with Luke Donald next at 15-1 and Lee Westwood at 18-1.

Hunter Mahan, the first two-time winner on the PGA Tour in 2012 after a one-stroke victory over Carl Pettersson at the Shell Houston Open on Sunday, is 25-1 along with Masters runner-up Adam Scott.

Defending champion Charl Schwartzel is 40-1, but was 30-1 just three weeks ago after two good weeks that included a T-5 at the Honda Classic and a T-4 at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, but missed cuts in Tampa and Houston has left the South African and the bookies in Vegas bewildered.
