Player of the week: Julien Brun, TCU
The Horned Frogs freshman posted rounds of 68-65-69 against a field of many of the nation’s top college players to win the Insperity Augusta State Invitational. Brun, who finished a shot in front of Texas senior Dylan Frittelli, made 19 birdies at the par-72, 7,143-yard Forest Hills Golf Club. The win is Brun’s third this year – a TCU men’s record. Brun, who improved five spots to No. 12 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, is a top candiate for national Freshman of the Year.
