Ohio State, Rohanna win Lady Buckeye titles
Host Ohio State fired a final-round, 1-over 289 to secure a convincing 16-shot win over Michigan State at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invite on the par-72 Scarlet Course at Ohio State University.
The No. 22 Buckeyes led wire-to-wire for their second tournament title of the season (they won the Hurricane Invitational in March).
Ohio State junior Rachel Rohanna took home the individual title by eight shots, using weekend rounds of 69-68 (the only rounds in the 60s by any player over the three rounds) to beat Iowa State's Punpaka Phuntumabamrung by eight shots and Buckeye teammate Kendall Prince by 14 shots.
It was Rohanna's first collegiate victory and the Buckeyes' first individual winner of the season.
The highest-ranked team coming into the tournament - No. 17 Baylor - finished 16 shots back and in fourth place.
