Michigan State cruised to a 10-shot victory at the Big Ten Women's Championship, riding rounds of 298-292-295 at the par-72 Donald Ross Golf Course at French Lick in French Lick, Indiana.

Tied with 19th-ranked Ohio State after Round 1, the Spartans made their move in the second round to take a five-shot lead into the final round.

It was only Michigan State's second team win of the season, taking the Mary Fossum Invitational crown in the fall.

No. 33 Purdue finished second while No. 19 Ohio State was third.

Purdue's Laura Gonzalez vaulted from a share of sixth to the individual win, carding a 3-under 69 to clear Michigan's Yugene Lee by a single shot. Overnight leader Lindsay Solberg of Michigan State finished in a four-way tie for third place after a final-round 75. Teammate Caroline Powers, Ohio State's Rachel Rohanna and Nebraska's Madeleine Sheils all finished tied with Solberg at 2 over for the tournament.
