Levy (NR, 2013) commits to Rice

Alex Levy of Austin, Texas, has given a verbal commitment to Rice.

Levy said Rice, which is in Houston, has always been his first choice for college, and it was his only offer.

“Rice had always been my No. 1 school, and I really focused on getting a spot early with Coach (Justin) Emil,” said Levy, who attends Stephen F. Austin High School. “I grew up just minutes away from the campus and have wanted to go ever since.”

Levy won the AJGA Aarons/Bob Estes Abilene Junior last month. He also was the Texas High School Region 2A champion.
