Tiger, Lefty highlight U.S. Ryder Cup qualifiers

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The PGA of America has announced that the first eight berths have been solidified on the U.S. Ryder Cup squad, with the final automatic berths becoming confirmed at the end of play at the PGA Championship on Sunday.
These eight players will compete against Europe at Medinah (Ill.) Country Club on Sept. 28-30, with captain Davis Love III set to make the other four captain's picks on Sept. 4.
• Tiger Woods, making his seventh Ryder Cup appearance
• Bubba Watson, second-straight Ryder Cup
• Jason Dufner, first Ryder Cup
• Keegan Bradley, first Ryder Cup
• Webb Simpson, first Ryder Cup
• Zach Johnson, third Ryder Cup
• Matt Kuchar, second-straight Ryder Cup
• Phil Mickelson, ninth-straight Ryder Cup (U.S. team record for consecutive appearances and most all-time appearances)
