Oshrine (No. 75, 2013) commits to Loyola-Maryland
Matt Oshrine has given a verbal commitment to play college golf for Loyola of Maryland. Oshrine also took unofficial visits to Purdue, Michigan and Columbia, and also considered Rice and Illinois.
“It came down to a few things,” Oshrine said of his decision. “Chris Baloga, the coach at Loyola, really made me feel comfortable in all of my conversations and visits to Loyola. I felt like Loyola was a place that every day I would enjoy going to practice, I’d have fun, and most importantly get better.”
Oshrine, who attends Pikesville High School in Pikesville, Md., also said he’s excited to join a roster that has gotten continually better.
Oshrine qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur this year, and was a second alternate for the U.S. Amateur. He has three top-10 finishes in AJGA events in the past two years.
