Ping Anser forged irons
Friday, November 1, 2013
Ping calls the new Anser iron an evolution of the original Anser iron.
With a renovation of the forged Anser iron – plus the introduction of Anser adjustable drivers and fairway woods and nonadjustable hybrids – Ping chairman and CEO John Solheim has decided to establish his company’s best-known name as an entire family of “super premium” clubs under the Ping umbrella.
The performance objective for the Anser forged iron is to raise the trajectory of the long irons and lower the trajectory of the short irons. The trajectory is controlled through the use of stabilizing bars and the welding of high-density tungsten into the sole.
MSRP is $200 per club (steel or graphite shaft).
