Carter (No. 193, 2013) commits to Iowa State
Jack Carter of New Albany, Ohio, has given a verbal commitment to play college golf at Iowa State.
Carter made unofficial visits to Kentucky, Miami of Ohio, Kansas and Kansas State before deciding on Iowa State
Carter, who is ranked No. 18 in Ohio, attends New Albany High School.
“I chose Iowa State because of the very impressive practice facility that is currently being constructed,” Carter said. “I loved the coaches and how they have turned the program around in the past couple of years. I love the campus and student life, along with the business school.”
Carter posted two top-20 finishes in AJGA events this summer, at the AJGA Junior at Quad Cities and AJGA Columbus Junior presented by the Memorial Tournament. He was fourth in the Plantations Junior Golf Tour Championship.
