14. North Florida

2011-2012 Golfweek rank: 13

Go-to guy: Sean Dale

Season outlook: The Ospreys are coming off their best season under head coach Scott Schroeder, who has led North Florida to two Atlantic Sun titles and two NCAA Championship appearances in eight years. The Ospreys accomplished both feats last season, winning the A-Sun for the first time since 2008 and notching a program-best T-12 finish at NCAAs.

Expect more success this season, as the Ospreys return five of their top six scorers from 2011-12. The only loss is a big one, however: Kevin Aylwin finished T-2 at the A-Sun Championship and T-4 at NCAA regionals as a senior last season.

Senior Sean Dale remains Schroeder’s top guy, leading the team in stroke average (72.2) and wins (two) as a junior. He’ll be joined by seniors Kevin Phelan and Pete Kellerman and sophomores MJ Maguire and Joey Petronio. Redshirt freshman Taylor Hancock begins his college career after advancing to match play of this year’s U.S. Amateur.
