Jimenez breaks leg skiing; out 3-5 months
According to multiple reports, Miguel Angel Jimenez will be sidelined for up to five months after breaking his right leg in a skiing accident in the Sierra Nevada range of Andalucia in southern Spain.
Jimenez, 48, was rushed to a nearby hospital and underwent successful surgery.
"It will take me three, four or five months to fully recover and play again at a competitive level," said Jimenez, who won the Hong Kong Open in November and became the oldest European Tour winner in its history.
"I have been playing well but that's just the way it goes in life."
