British Am headed to Royal Portrush, Carnoustie
The British Amateur Championship will be held at Royal Portrush and Carnoustie in 2014 and 2015, respectively, the Royal & Ancient announced Thursday.
Portrush, which will host this year’s Irish Open on the PGA European Tour, will be the host venue for the British Am for the third time on its renowned Dunluce Links.
Carnoustie is one of the most famous venues in golf, having hosted the Open Championship seven times. It is the fifth time the British Am will be played there.
The 2012 British Amateur will be played at Royal Troon, with the 2013 edition to be held at Kent’s Royal Cinque Ports.
