Monday, February 20, 2012
Grip manufacturer Lamkin Corp. announced Feb. 20 that it completed the acquisition of its European distribution operation.
The San Diego-based company made the move to help accelerate growth in Europe, according to Bob Lamkin, chief executive officer.
Headquartered in the U.K., Lamkin International sells, markets and distributes the company’s products in 11 European countries. The distribution operation will now be called Lamkin Golf Products Limited and its offices will remain in Farnham, Surrey, in the U.K.
Said Lamkin in a written statement: “With our newly expanded line of 3GEN offerings and putter grips, Lamkin is in position to dramatically increase our market share throughout Europe.”
Company officials added that demand for Lamkin’s 2012 grip line has exceeded initial expectations.
