PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - The Arkansas men’s team is picking up in the spring where it left off in the fall – in the winner’s circle.

The Razorbacks captured the John Hayt Invitational with a final-round-best, 7-under 281 on Feb. 28, giving them an 8-over 872 total over 54 holes and a four-shot victory over Central Florida at Sawgrass Country Club.

Arkansas, which won four of its five starts in the fall season, is now 1-for-2 in the spring after a second-place finish at the SunTrust Gator Invitational earlier this month.

The Razorbacks, No. 8 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, started the final round in a three-way tie for second with Tennessee and North Texas, three shots behind 18th-ranked UCF. But four Razorbacks matched or bettered par in the final round, and three finished in the top 15, led by Ethan Tracy, who shot 4-under 68 Tuesday and finished third at 3-under 213. Teammates Sebastian Cappellen and Austin Cook tied for 15th at 4-over 220.

Host North Florida, ranked No. 16, finished third at 13-over 877, followed by Coastal Carolina in fourth at 883.

TCU players swept the top two individual spots, with Julien Brun winning medalist honors with a 5-under 211, one shot ahead of Johan de Beer. But the Horned Frogs duo received little help from their teammates, leaving TCU in a tie for fifth with North Texas at 885.
