Callaway Razr Fit Xtreme fairway woods
Wednesday, January 15, 2014
The Callaway Razr Fit Xtreme fairway woods are designed for players who want a blend of power and adjustability.
Available in 15-, 16.5-, 18- and 21-degree models, they feature Callaway's Speed Frame Face, which is thicker in the center and thinner around the edges of the hitting area. Callaway claims this broadens the sweet spot and helps maintain ball speed on shots that are not perfectly struck.
The club's center of gravity was pushed down and away from the face, which should help players of all abilities get shots off the turf and into the air more easily.
The Razr Fit Xtreme fairway woods lack the adjustable weights of the Razr Fit Xtreme driver, but they do have an Optifit hosel that can adjust the face angle at address into three positions: 2 degrees open, neutral (Callaway calls it square) or 1 degree closed at address.
The Razr Fit Xtreme fairways come standard with either an Aldila Trinity or Matrix Black Tie graphite shaft for $199.
