Odyssey White Hot Pro putters
Wednesday, January 15, 2014
With the Odyssey White Hot Pro line of putters, the company wanted to revive and improve one of the most popular putter inserts it has ever made, then use it in a wide variety of putters priced within reach of nearly every golfer.
The original White Hot insert appeared in putters in 2000. Over the years Odyssey brought out several other face-insert putters, but the company said more than 60 percent of its staff players stuck with the original White Hot insert. With this updated version, Odyssey uses a new manufacturing process that replicated the old insert's feel but made it more consistent across the hitting area.
All of the White Hot Pro putters are milled from stainless steel and feature a gunmetal PVD finish that helps eliminate glare at address.
There are 18 White Hot pro putters, ranging in price from $129 to $189, including classic heel-toe weighted blades, center-shafted blades and mallets, 2-Ball putters and D.A.R.T. putters that feature a unique, arrow-shaped alignment aid.
