Whaley (No. 23, 2013) commits to Georgia Tech

Vincent Whaley, No. 23 in the class of 2013 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings, has given a verbal commitment to Georgia Tech.
Whaley, of McKinney, Texas, also made unofficial visits to Florida, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Auburn.
“I chose Georgia Tech because of the prestigious history and the great coaches (head coach Bruce Heppler and associate head coach Christian Newton),” Whaley said of his decision to commit to Georgia Tech.
Recently, Whaley won the AJGA Bob Estes, tied for fourth in the AJGA Goodman Networks at Traditions and tied for 16th in the POLO Junior Golf Classic.
