Tiger Woods will grab plenty of headlines heading into the U.S. Open next week at Olympic Club in San Francisco.

But there is another golfer out there that might be hotter: Zach Johnson.

Coming off a solid Sunday performance at the Colonial that helped him garner his second title there, Johnson is the early favorite this week at the St. Jude Classic.

Also in the field will be Rory McIlroy, who has missed three straight cuts and is looking to round into shape before defending his U.S. Open title in the Bay Area.

As for our panel, Ryan Lavner - who started making picks in early May - had the best week at Memorial with the top-10 picks of Justin Rose and Jonathan Byrd. Jim McCabe retains his clubhouse lead, now $1.6 million ahead of Alex Miceli and Jeff Rude.

Take a look at our panel's picks for this week:

Rank Winner Wild Card Last Week
Rude Zach Johnson

Dialed in after Colonial win.

Harris English

In good form lately. Didn't fare that well after making cut at Memorial, but before that won British Open qualifier by a mile and tied for fifth at Colonial.

Winner: Hunter Mahan ($72,540); wild card: Kyle Stanley (MC). 2012 total: $6,936,846.

McCabe Charles Howell III

A season that started with a bang – T-2 at the Sony – has hit a few bumps, but given two weeks off, here's a hunch he'll be rested and in good form over a course that has been feast or famine. He's had two top 10s and two missed cuts in five starts at TPC Southwind.

Bob Estes

A fixture at TPC Southwind, having played here every years since 1988, save for 1999. Second of his four PGA Tour wins came here and he's been T-8, T-23, and T-13 in recent years. Has been showing positive signs, including being medalist at U.S. Open qualifying Monday.

Winner: Bo Van Pelt ($119,867); wild card: Jonas Blixt (MC). 2012 total: $8,587,974.

Martin Zach Johnson

Hard to against a guy who's finished in the top-2 in three of his past four starts, including his Colonial win.

Patrick Reed

This will be his first Tour stop this season that he's actually played before. The St. Jude was site of Reed's pro debut. He missed the cut, but has been on a good run of late.

Winner: Luke Donald ($142,600); wild card: Ricky Barnes ($40,777). 2012 total: $5,126,091.

Miceli Robert Garrigus

Is so close to playing well. Has had success in Memphis, this could be another positive for him.

Henrik Stenson

Like Garrigus he is very close, so you got to figure its going to happen at some point, why not Memphis?

Winner: Bo Van Pelt ($119,867); wild card: Brandt Jobe ($12,834). 2012 total: $6,939,162.

Ringler Zach Johnson

Clearly on his game after a victory two weeks ago at the Colonial and almost a certain to be in the hunt in Memphis. Has placed in the top 15 twice in three prior starts here.

Jimmy Walker

Made five cuts in a row and finished T22 last year.

Winner: Jim Furyk ($119,867); wild card: Harris English ($13,206). 2012 total: $4,652,525.

Lavner Zach Johnson

Hottest player in the field, with a win and two runners-up in his past four starts. He’s finished T-32 and T-12 in Memphis the past two years, respectively.

David Toms

Failed to play the weekend here last year, ending a string of 15 consecutive made cuts at the St. Jude. Why not start another streak?

Winner: Justin Rose ($192,200); wild card: Jonathan Byrd ($215,450). 2012 total: $2,230,495.
