Lendl wins Women's Eastern by four shots
Scores
Add another line to Isabelle Lendl’s resume: The Florida senior won the Women’s Eastern Amateur on June 14 in wire-to-wire fashion.
The Eastern victory is a third reason in less than a month to take a closer look at Lendl. She shot a final-round 66 at the NCAA Women’s Championship on May 25 at Vanderbilt Legends Club’s North Course in Franklin, Tenn., then a week later finished third at the Connecticut Women’s Open.
Lendl, of Goshen, Conn., shot 2-under 214 at the Country Club of York (Pa.). She finished four shots ahead of Virginia senior Brittany Altomare, who won this championship in 2010.
Central Florida’s Monifa Sealy was tied for third with another Virginia player, Briana Mao. Both players shot 3-over 219.
