Woods commits to Arnold Palmer Invitational
Tiger Woods announced on his website Monday that he has committed to play the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club in Orlando, Fla. It will be his third PGA Tour event in March.
Woods, who tied for 24th at the event last year, is the only six-time winner at Bay Hill. He won titles from 2000-03 and ’08-09.
Woods will enter the Arnold Palmer Invitational after playing the WGC-Cadillac Invitational this week at the TPC Blue Monster at Doral. He has won three titles there.
So far in 2012, Woods has made four starts. He began the year with a third-place finish at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, then made his PGA Tour debut with a 15th-place finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. He lost to Nick Watney in Round 2 of the WGC-Accenture Match Play in February, and most recently finished T-2 at the Honda Classic.
