North Florida won its third event of the season Monday, narrowly clipping East Carolina at the General Hackler Championship.

The Ospreys, ranked No. 17 by Golfweek, used a second-round 2-under 282 to climb to the top of the leaderboard at the end of a 36-hole day at DeBordieu Club in Georgetown, S.C. UNF, which shot a final-round 290 for a 20-over 872 total, held off charging East Carolina, which closed with a 1-over 285, to win by two strokes.

Arkansas finished third, four shots behind East Carolina, and New Mexico was fourth.

North Florida’s Sean Dale won the individual title, the third of his collegiate career. Dale shot 1-under 212 to finish three shots ahead of three players tied for second at 215: East Carolina’s Ryan Eibner, East Tennessee State’s Rhys Enoch and Virginia’s Ben Kohles.
