Lamar picked up a five-stroke victory over Baylor at the Border Olympics on the par-72 Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas.

Lamar trailed by three strokes after the first round, with Houston holding the early lead. But Lamar finished with rounds of 289-288 to pull off the victory.

Houston would finish third, 18 shots off the pace, while Iowa State was fourth and Louisiana Tech and Louisiana-Lafayette tied for fifth, 30 shots behind Lamar.

Lamar's M.J. Daffue won medalist honors at 5 under, clearing Lafayette's Phillipp Fendt by two shots. Daffue fired back-to-back rounds of 70.

Baylor freshman Mikkei Bjerch-Andresen finished T-3 at even par with Lamar's Xavier Feyaerts.
