Top-ranked Texas won the Morris Williams Intercollegiate by 16 strokes, blowing past the field at the two-day tournament on the par-71 University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.

The win is the Longhorns' fifth of the season, while they also successfully defended their Morris Williams title from 2011.

Three Longhorns tied for medalist honors, with Dylan Frittelli, Jordan Spieth and Julio Vegas all finishing at 5 under over three rounds. Fellow Longhorn Alex Moon - playing as an individual - finished at 4 under and in a tie with Texas A&M's Cameron Peck.

Overnight leader Geoff Shaw of Texas A&M limped home with a final-round, 4-over 75 to finish sixth, while Shane Rogan of the College of Charleston placed seventh at 1 under.

New Mexico finished second at 7 over, while TCU was third at 14 over, Texas A&M took fourth at 16 over and North Texas placed fifth at 18 over.
