Clemson three-peats at Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Clemson men’s team has found a home away from home at the Furman Intercollegiate. The 13th-ranked Tigers, the lone top-20 team in the field, rolled to a 15-stroke victory Sunday, marking their third consecutive victory at the event, which is played less than 35 miles from the Clemson campus.
Clemson placed three players in the top 5 individually and shot 16-under 272 in the final round on their way to a 26-under 838 total at Furman University Golf Course. Virginia Tech finished second at 11 under, followed by Wofford and Coastal Carolina at 4-under 860. Georgia, which entered as the next-highest-ranked team at No. 22, tied for fifth with Troy and Charleston Southern.
Coastal Carolina’s Sebastian Soderberg shot three consecutive 68s to win the individual title at 12-under 204, two shots ahead of Michigan’s Matt Thompson. Clemson’s Corbin Mills was third at 8-under 208, with teammates Thomas Bradshaw and Crawford Reeves tying for fourth at 209.
