Long Beach St., Washington are Bandon co-champs
Long Beach State made a big surge on Sunday, firing a 5-under 279 to tie Washington at the Bandon Dunes Championship on the par-71 Bandon Trails Course in Oregon.
The 49ers trailed by seven strokes heading into Sunday, but Kevin Lim (5 under) and Xander Schauffele (4 under) propelled Long Beach State to the comeback.
Washington's Chris Williams took home medalist honors, using a final-round 66 to clear Lim by six shots.
Oregon's Rak Cho was third at 2 under, Long Beach State's Kevin Roy was fourth at even and Schauffele and Washington's Cheng-Tsung Pan tied for fifth at 1 over.
