Murphy resigns as CSU-Northridge head coach
Bonnie Murphy has resigned as the head women’s golf coach at Cal State Northridge. Murphy recently completed her 11th season with the Matadors.
During Murphy’s tenure, 12 Northridge players received All-Big West Conference honors and 10 were named to the Big West All-Academic squad. Five earned a spot on the National Golf Coach Associationa’s list of Academic All-Americans. Murphy twice was named Big West Coach of the Year.
A national search begins immediately for Murphy’s replacement. Northridge is ranked No. 142 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings. The team finished sixth at the conference championship this season, but did not reach NCAA postseason.
